Scott Haghverdian advises closely held businesses, high-net-worth families, and individual taxpayers on tax planning, accounting systems, compliance, and tax controversy matters. For nearly two decades, he has worked with clients whose financial affairs require careful analysis, practical judgment, and steady execution.

Before founding Opes Advisors, LLC, Scott held senior leadership and supervisory roles at Aspiriant LLC, Pogosian & Company CPA, and Golbar & Associates LLP. His work has included tax compliance, accounting infrastructure, audit defense, appeals, collections matters, and wealth-preservation planning for business owners and families.

Scott’s approach is direct, thorough, and grounded in the realities of each client’s financial life. Whether he is developing a planning strategy, responding to a tax notice, or representing a client before a taxing authority, his focus is to bring order and judgment to matters that demand care.

Scott is a licensed Enrolled Agent, a federal credential that authorizes him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation.
